Avoiding cross contamination at home can be…well a piece of cake. If you share space with folks that are not GF there are things you can do. Put big stickers on your GF goodies. Peanut butter. It’s gf so no problem. Except when someone uses their knife that they used on their bread. Crumbs can linger. Have a sperate shelf in the pantry, refrigerator & cabnet. Have your own utensils & pans. Sounds like it can get over whelming with all the what ifs. But you will be a pro before you know it. What better time to treat yourself and get a few new kitchen toys. Bon Appetit
Yeah…what he said
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase. Just take the first step. ”
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Food & Mood
People with nutrient absorbing disorders (Celiacs) often have high levels of “stress hormones”. High levels interfere with learning and can create anxiety. Study’s have shown people with malabsorption act similarly to people with lesions in parts of the brain. Food affects mood and motivation. Happy gut, happy brain. Eat better, feel better. Take care and get tested if your not sure.
